Rover Suspension

I designed this new suspension system from scratch to fix issues with the previous suspension. It includes large 12" diameter tires and a rocker design with independent shock absorption on each wheel. Check out some of the engineering drawings I made for this project below.

Design

This suspension was designed to have rocker articulation through the differential bar to allow it to keep all four wheels on the ground while going over rough terrain, which is the same system as the last suspension used. This was done to make the two suspensions interchangable. I also implemented independent shock absorbers on each wheel to absorb the impact from a drop. This suspension has only four tires compared to the previous six, which allowed me to use much larger, more agressive tires. This will help the rover traverse over obstacles and rough terrain.
